Hi, I’m Michelle Johnston, Founder and Registered Manager of Charnwood Community Care.

With many years of experience working within health and social care, including leadership roles in community-based services, I have always been passionate about helping people remain safe, independent, and comfortable within their own homes. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals with a wide range of needs and have seen first-hand the difference that compassionate, person-centred care can make to someone’s quality of life.

I created Charnwood Community Care with a simple vision — to provide care that I would be happy for my own family to receive. I strongly believe that care should never feel rushed or impersonal. Every individual deserves dignity, respect, kindness, and genuine companionship.

About Us

Welcome to Charnwood Community Care — and thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are a small independent care and support service dedicated to helping adults aged 18 and over to live safely, comfortably and happily in their own homes across Charnwood and the surrounding villages.

We understand that care isn’t a one-size-fits-all service. Everyone’s needs, preferences and routines are different, so we take the time to truly listen and tailor our support to each individual. Our team is made up of kind, compassionate and highly skilled carers who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support.
